Dr. Niharika Gaan, Chairperson of Student Welfare

 

Dr. Gaan earned PhD fellowship in Management from Institute of Management, Nirma University of Science and Technology and was awarded in the year 2006. She has over 16 years of work experience as academician, practitioner and researcher. She has published in peer reviewed journals of national and international repute like Vikalpa, IIMA; Indian Journal of Industrial Relation; International Journal of Business and Management; New Zealand Journal of Human Resource Management; Decision, IIMC; Vision-The Journal of Business Perspectives, MDI; Vilakshan, XIMB and so on.

 

She has even presented research papers at national as well as at international conferences organized by IIMA, IIMB, and European Academy of Management. Her main research interests pertains to job attitudes, virtual team effectiveness, mentoring, emotional labour, transformational HR practices and leadership, sustainable leadership, employee engagement and employee passions. She was a memberof editorial board of Contemporary Management Research published by Academy of Taiwan Information Systems Research and has remained constant reviewer to American Academy of Management, European academy of Management, and Journal of Education and Studies.

 

She is a certified trainer too on psychometric test (Carlton Advanced Management Institute, Canada). Apart from academic achievements she has also served as a trainer to few organizations with an expertise in the areas of leadership, interpersonal skills and psychometric assessment. Currently she is working on research assignment entitled “Gender Violence: caste, ethnic, regional and religious dimensions” funded by ICSSR.
